The Mary A Mitigation Bank streamlines the search for suitable wetland mitigation. The leg work has already been done. Applicants simply fill out a credit reservation form and submit a deposit (10 percent of the dollar amount). Once a permit is granted, the applicant forwards the balance to an escrow account. The mitigation bank will inform the St. Johns River Water Management District that the funds have been received and the permitted number of credits have been issued.
Mitigation credit purchases will help resurrect a biologically-rich ecosystem while improving water quality and flood storage capabilities at the headwaters of Florida’s longest river.
There’s no substitute for experience. BKI, Inc. Consulting Ecologists, consultants for the mitigation bank, have more than 20 years of environmental permitting experience. BKI understands the current ecological laws and policies and has impressive expertise in wetlands permitting and endangered species impacts at the local, state and federal levels in south central Florida.
Purchase of mitigation bank credits transfers long-term responsibility and liability for wetland mitigation to the Mary A Mitigation Bank.
